Barry James was born in the year 1968 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. As an alternative to the pediatrician's proposal to connect his baby daughter up to a monitor 24 hours a day, he authored Book One of the Mondragoran Chronicles, Dreams of Darkness, while staying awake nights to watch over her. Barry is currently a 6th grade World History teacher in Tempe, AZ.
