Djanet Sears is a playwright, director, and actor from Toronto. She's the author of the critically acclaimed Afrika Solo, which has toured worldwide and was featured on CBC Radio's Morningside program. Harlem Duet was staged by Toronto's Nightwood Theatre and premiered at the Tarragon Theatre in April 1997, after being workshopped at New York City's Joseph Papp Public Theatre.
