Harry Kernoff by Kevin O'connor
A full-length biography of one of Ireland's leading artists. Born in London, Harry Kernoff moved to Dublin in 1914 and from 1923 until his death in 1974 was a full-time artist when it was neither 'profitable nor fashionable'. Against the odds, he has left a more encompassing visual record of the Irish experience during the 20th century than any contemporary painter through his empathic interest in the ordinary people.
California-based chef Kevin O'Connor has been working in professional kitchens since the age of 14. Having worked at some of Sacramento's most well-known restaurants including Mason's and ELLA, in 2009 Kevin opened Tree House, Sacramento's first pop-up restaurant, to immediate success. Stints at Michelinstarred Coi and Saison in San Francisco followed before Kevin took the role of Cobram's Chef-at-Large in 2014. Chasing Harvest is his first book.
