Patty was honored Honorary Member of the Year by the ACBL Board of Directors in 2016 for her efforts to keep bridge alive for future generations. Patty observed, I teach bridge because it gives me enormous pleasure to impart on my knowledge, respect, and love for the game of bridge to others. Bridge Career: Patty's childhood love in bridge became a full-time job in 1999.
Patty is a Master Teacher, the highest designation in the North American bridge teaching community, as awarded by the American Bridge Teachers' Association. Patty and her long-time partner and husband, Kevin Collins, won the North American Open Pairs National Bridge Championship in 2000, earning national recognition.
