Holy War by John Bunyan

The Holy War, first published in 1682, is an allegory of the capture of a human life (Mansoul) by Diabolus and its emancipation by Emmanuel. Thus in the siege of Mansoul the assault is carried out from Mount Gracious on one side and Mount Justice on the other, while Mount Hearken is constructed opposite the town's Eargate.

"..as to the quality, spirit and lasting appeal of The Holy War there is no dispute. Three hundred years have conferred it with Christian Classic status. So, if you haven't read it yet, do."

-- David Winfield, Evangelism Today
John Bunyan (1628–1688) was a famous preacher and writer who, during his life, penned over 2 million words, his most famous work being ‘The Pilgrim’s Progress’.
