Rachel Abbott grew up in Manchester, England, and studied systems analysis before founding her own interactive media firm in the early 1980s. She sold her company in 2000 and relocated to Italy's Le Marche region in 2005. She and her husband still live there, and she divides her time between writing her second novel, cooking, and dabbling in web design.
