Jean Howard, former Ziegfeld girl, MGM contract player, wife of a leading film agent, and Hollywood hostess, is also a photographer and raconteur. In this photographic memoir she provides an intimate look at the Hollywood she knew from the 1930s to the 1960s. The book shows Marilyn Monroe dancing with Clark Gable, Richard Burton and Judy Garland serenading fellow dinner-guests, Rita Hayworth and Aly Khan beside a Cannes swimming pool, and Jennifer Jones leading Fourth-of-July party-goers into the pool. There are also portraits of, among others, James Dean, the young Marlon Brando, Henry Fonda, Merle Oberon, Grace Kelly and Gene Tierney.
