He travels to the locations he writes about in the SUBMARINE OUTLAW series whenever possible. He lived on the island of Saipan, which appears in GHOSTS OF THE PACIFIC, from 1999 to 2001. He recently traveled to India to study the series' fifth novel, OUTLAW IN INDIA, and to South Africa to investigate the series' sixth book, SEAS OF SOUTH AFRICA. ECO WARRIOR, the seventh book in the series, is set in Australia, which he has lately visited.
STEALTH OF THE NINJA, the eighth novel in the SUBMARINE OUTLAW series, will be set in Japan and will be released in the spring of 2016. Philip believes that traveling is a terrific adventure. Just writing about it and going to schools to share the stories and findings with young readers is better. Philip is also the author of two children's/YA historical novels, Blood Brothers in Louisbourg and Me & Bell, in addition to the SUBMARINE OUTLAW series.
MOUSE TALES and JELLYBEAN MOUSE, his first two children's picture books in the HAPPY THE POCKET MOUSE series, were recently released. In the fall of 2015, his third novel in the series, MOUSE PET, will be released.
