Berit Gordon works with teachers to help them develop readers and writers who will last a lifetime. Her career as an educator began in a Dominican Republic classroom before moving to New York City to teach in public schools. She also taught English Education at Columbia University's Teachers College. She lives in Maplewood, New Jersey with her husband and three children and works as a literacy consultant in schools 3-12.
