Many of the details are captured from the diary I kept starting with the time I was drafted. It provides the many tasks completed while on active duty as well as events that took place while on leave. Most importantly it captures my courtship and marriage including costs of various things during the timeline of 1950-1953. Many of the details of that was provided by the letters saved by my wife.
