She went on to pursue a medical degree at Newcastle University in the U.K. After graduating in June 2011, and securing a place on the prestigious Academic Foundation Programme, she is currently working as a hospital doctor at the well-known St Thomas' hospital in London and is set to begin research on the pathogenesis of aortic aneurysms. As a medical student, she succeeded in publishing 5 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 4 as a main author. With many awards and prizes under her belt including the Wellcome scholarship and numerous publications, she plans to pursue her research interests in clinical and molecular sciences and her love for academia and writing. Her experiences as a medical student as well as those of her peers put her in a unique position to be able to gather medical student tales into an easy to read emotionally charged book.
