Lincoln Cathedral by Pam Hartshorne
This richly illustrated new publication offers a fascinating panorama of Lincoln Cathedral past and present, revealing the extent to which it is deeply entwined with the history of England over nearly 1000 years, and how it is sustained and renewed as a vibrant centre of worship and mission.
"This sumptuous book presents a pilgrimage panorama of its past ten centuries, and its present of worship and mission by a community of clergy, staff and volunteers" Lincolnshire Life, March 2011.
After stints as a foreign news desk secretary at The Observer, cook on an outback cattle station and production assistant at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park, Pamela stumbled into writing as a way of funding a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies. For the past fifteen years Pamela has been able to combine her historical research with a successful career as a romantic novelist and is winner of the two most prestigious awards in romance writing, a RITA(R), awarded by Romance Writers of America, and the coveted Romance Prize, awarded by the UK's Romantic Novelists' Association. She lives in York.
