Longman Preparation Series for the TOEIC Test by Lin Lougheed
It's the day after Christmas, and an exhausted Santa Clause is ready to relax. But, before he even finishes his Christmas cookies, he is struck with the alarming realization that, around the world, the climate is changing. Join him, as he embarks on a life-changing mystical journey, on which he discovers the existence of climate change, as well as its causes and possible solutions. Filled with a creative and provocative combination of fact and fantasy, A North Pole Tale invites readers of all ages to reevaluate not only the meaning of Christmas, but also our everyday values in terms of how we can better engage with each other, with other living beings, and with the planet as a whole. Climate change is a timely, yet complex and challenging topic that many struggle with addressing. This book provides an accessible way to engage in age-appropriate discussion about this serious subject. Beautifully illustrated and intelligently, yet playfully, written, A North Pole Tale invites readers to reimagine the way we live, while embracing the spirit of believing.
