Richard Loseby's first book, Blue is the Colour of Heaven, an astonishing account of his journey by foot through Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan, was a gripping of his trip and the war torn countries he visited. Richard Loseby was born in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in 1963. He grew up in Australia before moving to New Zealand at the age of eight. In 1980 he ventured into advertising as a copywriter, working in London from 1985 to 1993 before returning to Auckland.
