Featuring beloved forgotten favourite stories such as Mary-Mary Goes Visiting, Mary-Mary's Handbag, Mary-Mary Goes Away And Mary-Mary Is A Surprise, this title follows the misadventures of Mary-Mary, a little girl who knows rather a lot more than her four older brothers and sisters give her credit for, thank you very much.
Joan G. Robinson (1910-88) was the second of four children to barrister parents. She trained as an illustrator and in 1939 began writing and illustrating stories for the very young. In 1967 WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. It was the first of five novels for older children.
