Swami Vivekananda was born in 1863 in a township in Calcutta. Everyone was convinced of his ability and intelligence in school and college. After his college education, he started participating in reform movements in search of the truth of religion and decided to work for the development and welfare of the country. Swami Vivekananda said that our philosophy is that which increases our strength, that is the criterion of true spirituality, that is the criterion of true religion. A religion, an ideology, a philosophy that leads a person to physical, mental, moral or spiritual weakness is a complete lie. Truth is that which strengthens, truth is purity. Truth is knowledge. سوامی وویکانند کی پیدائش 1863 میں کلکتہ کی ایک بستی میں ہوئی تھی۔ اسکول اور کالج میں ان کی قابلیت اور ذہانت کے سب قائل تھے۔ کالج کی تعلیم کے بعد مذہب کی سچائی کی تلاش میں اصلاحی تحریکوں میں حصہ لینے لگے اور وطن کی ترقی اور بہبودی کے لیے کام کرنے فیصلہ کیا۔ سوامی وویکانند کا کہنا تھا کہ ہمارا فلسفہ وہی ہے جو ہماری قوت میں اضافہ کرے، یہی ایک معیار ہے حقیقی روحانیت کا، یہی کسوٹی ہے سچے مذہب کی۔ جو مذہب، جو نظریہ، جو فلسفہ انسان کو جسمانی، ذہنی، اخلاقی یا روحانی کمزوری کی طرف لے جاتا ہے، وہ سراسر جھوٹ ہے۔ سچ وہی ہے جو تقویت دے، سچ ہی پاکیزگی ہے۔ سچ ہی علم ہے۔ جھوٹ جہل کا دوسرا نام ہے جبکہ سچائی پیچیدہ نظریوں کا سلسلہ نہیں، حقیقت سادگی کے مترادف ہے۔ یہ کتاب مذہب سے متعلق سوامی جی کے نظریات کا تفصیلی بیان ہے۔
