Drake's work for DC included THE HOUSE OF MYSTERY, THE HOUSE OF SECRETS, MYSTERY IN SPACE, CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN, and TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED, and he wrote for titles like THE HOUSE OF MYSTERY, THE HOUSE OF SECRETS, MYSTERY IN SPACE, CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN, and TALES OF THE UNE
Drake also created the Doom Patrol (in MY GREATEST ADVENTURE) and Deadman (in STRANGE ADVENTURES), two of the era's most creative characters. In the 1970s and early 1980s, he worked for Western Publishing's Gold Key comics line, and later in his career, he was heavily involved in the Veterans Bedside Network, a group of celebrities who use song and drama as therapy in America's V.A. hospitals.
