I have always worked in fabric and perhaps have had a rather disparaging attitude as to the functionality and purpose of creations using paper. Of course art takes all forms and after reading this book by Sherrill I have had a moment of enlightenment! There are more than 50 surface and design techniques for fabric and paper and most are medium interchangeable so if you want fabric, have fabric. The methods are clearly explained, allowing you to create fascinating surfaces by using paints, inks, resists, stamps, markers, and too many other things to list. This is certainly one to delve into even if you remain like me, stalwartly on the side of fabric!
