Lorraine Wallace grew up with two big passions: horseback riding and cooking. She honed her skills in both. In the 1980s, she moved to Middleburg, Virginia, where she competed in amateur showjumping and won medals with her horse, Strait Man. Simultaneously, she began cultivating her own enormous garden, which included vegetables, herbs, and flowers. She acquired a passion for cooking and an affinity for organic ingredients.
