Maximovich, Alexander: - Alexander Maximovich, M.D., (Dr. Max) recently retired from hospital and private practice. Early in his career, he spent a six-month externship with Chief Medical Examiner of Wayne County, Michigan (which includes Detroit) and Medical Examiner of Oakland County, Michigan, Dr. Olson. He assisted in up to twenty-one autopsies a day. Dr. Maximovich was present during detective/coroner discussions of forensic pathology. Later, he spent forty-four years specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, treating female issues through laparoscopic laser and robotic surgeries, treating infertility, endometriosis and performing in vitro fertilization. He taught hospital attending physicians, resident doctors and medical students from four medical schools in his field of expertise. He taught at hospitals and universities in several US states, four Canadian provinces, Europe and Australia. Dr. Max received several teaching awards from his peers, hospital doctors, students and nurses. He now lives off the I-75 corridor between Michigan, Tellico, Tennessee and Stuart, Florida.
