Amy Brashear was born in Arkansas but spent her childhood school years just six miles from Holcomb in Garden City, Kansas. Amy learned about the Clutter family murders from a childhood acquaintance, but it wasn't until she read In Cold Blood that she realized how serious they were. Her debut novel is No Saints in Kansas. She's also the author of the YA novel The Amazing Tale of the Creation of the Eve of Destruction, which will be released later this year.
