He was born in Lexington and earned bachelor's degrees in philosophy, English, and religious studies, as well as a master's degree in theology. Pluck! is a collection of his most recent poems. 18, Black Bone Anthology, Diode Poetry Journal's 10th Anniversary Issue, and About Place Journal. His short stories have appeared in The Science Fiction, Cyberfunk Anthology: The City, Roaring Lion's Rococoa Anthology, the Urban Fantasy Anthology: Terminus, and the 2019 JordanCon Anthology: You Want Stories?

He is the author of The Three Gifts, an epic fantasy novel series that contains When Night Falls (Book One) and A Plague of Shadows (Book Two). He's attended DragonCon, Boskone, Blacktasticon, JordanCon, Atlanta Science Fiction & Fantasy Expo, The Outer Dark Symposium, World Horror Con, Imaginarium, and Multiverse as a Guest Author. He was the Program Content Consultant at WorldCon Dublin and the Fantasy Track Director for Multiverse Con recently. He is a founding member of the Affrilachian Poets and the author of four poetry collections: the road is long, descending to earth, microphone check, and Nappy Metaphysic.
