The Fw 190 was the scourge of its enemies, superior to all Allied fighters until the introduction of the P-51.

Martin Bowman has written more than a dozen titles on the ‘Mighty Eighth’ over the past 20 years including three highly-successful volumes in Osprey’s Combat Aircraft series. He has interviewed many veterans over the years.

Jim Laurier
is a native of New England and lives in New Hampshire. He attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, from 1974-78, and since he graduated with honours, he has been working professionally in the field of Fine Art and Illustration. He has been commissioned to paint for the US Air Force and has aviation paintings on permanent display at the Pentagon. Jim completed all the digital artwork in this volume.

Mark Postlethwaite is a leading aviation artist and illustrator of the covers for Osprey Publishing's Aircraft of the Aces and Combat Aircraft series. Mark completed the battlescene painting in this volume.
