As the book is designed to be used in practical ways to enable readers to copy and adapt the room designs to their own particular spaces there are pages of original designs and working drawings interspersed with room plans and examples of painted rooms. Photographs of projects to date illustrate paintings in situ and a step-by-step sequence shows the full progress of a design from working drawings to completed mural. The author's most celebrated mural is the landscape and figure painting which now covers the entire staircase at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire.
