Pigs at the Picnic by Lucy Daniels
Mandy and James are taking a two week working holiday for young volunteers. The project they have chosen is a working farm owned by a charitable trust, dedicated to preserving traditional farming methods and rare breeds of farm animal. At the end of the two weeks there is an open air fundraising event scheduled, with a concert, guided tours and a buffet picnic planned. But, on the day, a local farmer with an axe to grind sabotages the event, releasing the pigs, who proceed to eat all the food prepared for the picnic! Mandy and James must step in to round up the pigs - and somehow come up with some alternative food for the picnic - before the whole day is ruined!
Lucy Daniels was born and brought up in the Yorkshire countryside, where she still lives. She has always loved animals. She is a full time writer who gained experience of writing working on Sweet Valley High, Little Sister, and Mystery Club..
