E M Inkpen grew up in England with a family who loved walking and the outdoors, which led naturally to hiking in the Rocky Mountains when she emigrated to Canada in 1965. She worked with disabled children for over 40 years, now lives in Lincoln, UK, and enjoys world-wide travel in her retirement.
