She is involved in social work teaching at qualifying and post-qualifying levels, and with Sue White teaches an MA module on Critical Thinking and Professional Decision-Making for Health and Welfare Professionals from which the material for this book is derived. Her current research interests include applying discourse analytic techniques to professional education and training.
