Dr. Yergin won the Pulitzer Prize for his number one bestseller The Prize: The Epic Search for Oil, Money, and Power, which was adapted into an eight-hour PBS/BBC series that was seen by 20 million Americans. The book has been translated into a total of 12 different languages. It also won the Eccles Award for best book for a general readership on an economic topic. The Wall Street Journal wrote of Dr. Yergin's subsequent book, Commanding Heights: The Struggle for the Global Economy, No one could ask for a clearer analysis of the world's political and economic fate since WWII.
