David Stirzaker is an Emeritus Research Fellow at St John's College, Oxford, and an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute. Probability and Random Processes (co-authored with Geoffrey Grimmett, 2001) and Basic Probability (Cambridge University Press, 2003) are two of his earlier books.
