The Redeemer by Jo Nesbo
One night in Oslo, Christmas shoppers gather to listen to a Salvation Army street concert. An explosion cuts through the music, and a man in uniform falls to the ground. Harry Hole and his team have little to work with: no suspect and no motive. But when the assassin discovers he has shot the wrong man, Harry Hole's troubles have only just begun.
Jo Nesbo is a musician, songwriter, economist and author. His first crime novel featuring Harry Hole was published in Norway in 1997 and was an instant hit, winning the Glass Key Award for best Nordic crime novel (an accolade shared with Peter Hoeg, Henning Mankell and Karin Fossum). The Redeemer is the fourth of Nesbo's novels to be translated into English.
