He held three Director General posts in Government before becoming a founding partner of Praesta Partners, an international coaching firm. He is a Lay Canon at Guildford Cathedral and a Reader in the Church of England. Hilary Douglas coaches leaders from a wide range of sectors, backgrounds and cultures. She was a Board member of several UK Government Departments, and is a trustee and Vice-Chair of the Board of the British Red Cross.
