Resounding Tinkle by N F Simpson

It would be wrong to say nothing surprises the Paradocks, Bro and Middie. It's just that they take in their stride the things that would surprise us. The elephant in their garden, for instance, has actually been ordered, but this year the shop has made a mistake and sent the wrong size.2 women, 1 man

N.F. Simpson was a renowned exponent of absurdist theatre, and is best known for his piece A Resounding Tinkle, which premiered at the Royal Court in 1957 and later starred Peter Cook. He was a significant figure in the 1960s satire boom, writing outstanding comedy for John Cleese, Beryl Reid, Hattie Jacques, and Eric Sykes, as well as a number of tremendously amusing pieces for the stage starring Harold Pinter and Kenneth Williams. From Peter Cook to Monty Python, his influence spawned a generation of tremendous comic talent.
