Dave Roberts is a trial lawyer who is licensed to practice in the states of Oklahoma and Texas. Scribes, The American Society of Law Writers, has named him a Life Sustaining Member. Several legal publications have published his work. His wife died of breast cancer in 1986. His daughter died in 2010 from a drug and alcohol overdose.

He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 and underwent treatment. He underwent a successful stem-cell transplant, which miraculously saved his life. He was inspired to write this book because of his love for the Bible. The majority of people do not read the Bible.
