Sarah by Margaret Dickinson

We have all experienced dark times. What we do in the aftermath of such darkness predicates the rest of our lives. In Descending toward Darkness, Illuminated by Faith, Cheri McDaniel takes the reader on a faith journey. She shares the stories of old and new friends who have escaped darkness to the illumination of faith. We can all be inspired through the true-life stories of those living lives of significance and purpose.

Cheri McDaniel is a retired businesswoman and the author of two previous books, He Lays the Stones for Our Steps: An Inspirational Memoir and Snazzy Seniors: The Fastest Growing Population in the United States. She is active in the Capital City Rotary Club of Baton Rouge and devotes her time to numerous humanitarian efforts.

Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Margaret Dickinson moved to the coast at the age of seven and so began her love for the sea and the Lincolnshire landscape. Her ambition to be a writer began early and she had her first novel published at the age of twenty-five. This was followed by many further titles including Plough the Furrow, Sow the Seed and Reap the Harvest, which make up her Lincolnshire Fleethaven Trilogy. She is also the author of Fairfield Hall, Jenny's War and The Clippie Girls. Margaret is a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller.
