Seasons of Plenty by Colin Greenland

Space Captain Tabitha Jute is the hero of the solar system. She has defeated the Capellan overlords and liberated the gigantic alien spaceship known as Plenty. Now she and her friends have to get out of the system. And quickly.

Award winning Colin Greenland was born in Dover in 1954 and wrote his first book, about a fire-engine that laid an egg, at the age of five. Since then he has written ‘The Hour of the Thin Ox’, which the ‘Guardian’ said ‘could be a classic’; and its successor, ‘Other Voices’, written to a soundtrack of the Cure, Dead Can Dance, New Order and the Cocteau Twins, which was hailed as ‘a short, sharp and moving tale with an acrid and lingering aftertaste.’
