Shannon by Shannon

Aged 10 Shannon runs away from home to become a member of one of Cleveland's most notorious gangs. She soon becomes involved in a life of drugs, crime and witchcraft, constantly on the run from the police and able to trust no one. As she becomes increasingly violent towards others she believes that she is no longer worthy of being loved and that her heart has turned to stone. Yet she is often haunted by the words of a boy at school - 'Jesus loves you' - and one day those words are the cause of a dramatic turnaround. Shannon's testimony is one of hope - God is at work in the darkest of places and the hardest of hearts.
Shannon Ribeiro is currently attending a Bible school near Sao Paulo. She is also hoping to embark on a singing career. Damaris Kofmehl has written this book with Shannon. Damaris works with street children in Brazil and is the author of a number of German titles which tell the stories of children she has met.
