Meine prim ren Forschungsinteressen konzentrieren sich auf die organische Synthese und die Untersuchung der Donor-Akzeptor-Cyclopropan-Chemie. Zu den Forschungsaktivit ten geh ren die Auswirkungen von D-A-Cyclopropanen und Cyclobutanen in der organischen Synthese und ihre Anwendung auf die Synthese von Naturprodukten. Eine intramolekulare, stereoselektive Cyclopropanierung von vinylartigen Carbonaten mit Carbenen unter Verwendung eines Kupferkatalysators wird f r die Synthese von Donor-Akzeptor-substituierten Cyclopropyranonen entwickelt. Unter geeigneten Reaktionsbedingungen wurde eine vollst ndig regioselektive Ringspaltung jeder der Cyclopropanbindungen erreicht, was zu einer Vielzahl von cyclischen Ethern f hrte. Die entwickelte Methode wird f r die Totalsynthese von ()-Diospongin B verwendet.
