One snowy night, in a great big city, a strange thing happens. The moon falls from the sky and lands on top of a very tall building. And no matter what the people in the neighbourhood do, the moon will not rise. That night, a young boy named Ata decides to sit with the moon to keep it company. In return, the moon tells him why he doesn't want to go home. "It is so dark up there," the moon says. "It makes me feel lonely." Ata tries again and again to make the moon shine, but nothing works. Until Ata has a great idea It's a simple and inspirational story, well told and beautifully illustrated. David Conway has been shortlisted for the Sheffield Children's Book Award. He has also been awarded The Peter Pan Silver Star by the Swedish wing of the IBBY and the Parents' Choice Gold Award in the US. His first picture book The Most Important Gift of All with Karin Littlewood was nominated for The Kate Greenaway Medal in 2006. Dubravka Kolanovic is the award-winning illustrator of more than thirty children's books. She studied painting at both the Savannah College of Art and Design and the Academy of Fine Arts in Croatia. This is her first book for tiger tales. Dubravka lives in Zagreb, Croatia with her husband and son.
