Rob Childs spent 20 years as a teacher before writing his first book. Being able to instruct soccer and gymnastics as a teacher was one of his favorite experiences. Childs went on to write over 80 novels for youngsters, including a successful sports series. At Scholastic, he also wrote the Time Rangers series. Childs lives with Joy, his wife, and Rockey, their collie puppy. Rockey enjoys taking Childs on hikes in the surrounding countryside.
