Sol & Ava's Magical Adventure by Gary Doocey

Sol & Ava's Magical Adventure by Gary Doocey

Sol and Ava are not only brother and sister, they are best friends. They love to play together. Even more, they love to put on special backpacks that shoot them up into the sky and off to adventure!

Join Sol and Ava as they travel to the Magical Emerald Forest. Here, the most delicious fruits are guarded by cheeky monkeys, and a mountain of marshmallows provides an endless feast. Here, something horrible hides under a bridge and something beautiful lives beneath the waters of a sparkling lake.

But even in this world, there is fear. A terrible creature waits in a castle, alone and angry. Through a combination of Ava’s kindness and Sol’s bravery, can the brother and sister find a way to help the creature before her anger explodes and spoils the magical world for everyone?

Children aged four to eight will love this exciting and entertaining journey into fantasy, where an array of different characters present Sol and Ava with a series of challenges. The story teaches improvisation, teamwork and, above all, that a little kindness goes a long way.

Gary Doocey’s background is simple: a devoted father who wanted to do something nice for his kids, Sol and Ava. Telling bedtime stories and seeing their eyes flicker as they imagined being on the adventures filled him with inspiration and got him thinking. Why not see if other children would enjoy the stories as much?

This was when Gary decided to write a book and bring the imaginations of children everywhere to life.

Sol and Ava are the youngest of five children, so being a dad consumes most of Gary’s time, just like it does for many other fathers out there. When he’s not being Daddy (or working), a cup of coffee on the sofa while watching an 80s film that he has seen over 50 times is a good wind down. Gary also enjoys morning gym sessions and watching the football.

Life is fast, furious, good, bad and ugly, but being a dad is a reward in itself.
