Sold Out by Abraham Singbeh

Born in Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia in West Africa, Gabriel Abraham Singbeh did not talk or walk for several years. Considered cursed at birth by his tribe, his family was shunned and forced out of their village. Suffering separation from his parents at an early age, he was nine before seeing anything powered by electricity. Gabriel was loved by his mother who always spoke of God, but he was abused by extended family with whom he lived. At age 15 he and a mentor, Pastor Elisha, set off for Europe in search of work and a Bible education, but along the way, were tricked by Elisha's cousin and sold into slavery. Repeatedly robbed, starved, tortured and trafficked through the Sahara Desert, Gabriel continuously called on God for deliverance. After suffering for many months at the hands of merciless Muslim captors, enduring the terror and trauma of their inhumane acts, Gabriel was finally rescued, along with other refugees, from a sinking raft in the Mediterranean Sea. After partially recovering at an emergency camp, he eventually found comfort at a church in Italy, where an American believer befriended him as a second mother. This is the amazing true story of a young man sold out by his countrymen, and a young man who is sold out for Christ.
