Cay Gibson has always had a passion for children's literature and storytelling. An advocate of picture books, she is a member of the Southwest Louisiana Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Guild and of the Bayou Writers Group.

Gibson works as a literary-magazine editor and as the director of religious education for her church parish. Her publications include numerous articles in parenting, educational, and spiritual magazines, and she is the author and publisher of several educational resource books. Gibson is a frequent presenter at family and education conferences across the United States. She enjoys reading, caring for her chickens, collecting picture books, traveling, camping, and spending time with her family. A lifetime resident of Louisiana, Gibson lives in Sulphur with her family.

Colleen D'Antoni was raised in Old Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans. She took special pleasure in visiting New Orleans' fantastic museums and was inspired by the many influences she found there.

D'Antoni is a freelance artist and full-time student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has designed and executed several murals in Texas, where her family lives, and has earned awards in numerous regional and local art competitions, including the Congressional Art Competition. Also a talented sculptor, D'Antoni has been commissioned by The Indigo Sky Gallery to create a public piece for Savannah's Waters Street.
