The book is written in passage form, weaving Barbara McQueen's personal history, her relationship with her famous husband and the stories behind the hundreds of candid pictures she took. It also includes a special foreword by Pat Johnson, McQueen's close friend and karate instructor. There is also a special signed limited edition available, ISBN 978-1-85443-226-1, released Nov 2006, cost 55 that includes a slip case and a CD of Steve McQueen reviewing his script notes for the movie "Tom Horn".
