He is currently co-chair of the School of Visual Arts MFA design program as well as Editor of the AIGA Journal of Graphic Design. He has written over 130 books on design and has been a contributor or contributing editor to nearly twenty-five magazines, including Print, Eye, and Baseline. He writes the Visuals column for the New York Times Book Review and Graphic Content for T: The New York Times Style Magazine online.
