Superfly Pest by Lou Kuenzler
Get a fly-on-the-wall view with the death-defying hero Jack Splat as he goes about his daily adventures - finding food and spreading germs! But there is danger everywhere for a small fly, and Jack must dodge dastardly attempts to bring his life to a swift end! Jack is excited by the sight of a large, deliciously sweet birthday cake, and gatecrashes a party to get at it. But he needs to watch out for the scheming spider that lurks in the living room...
Lou Kuenzler was brought up on a remote farm on the edge of Dartmoor, where she enjoyed a childhood of sheep, ponies, chickens and dogs. She worked as a theatre director, university drama lecturer and workshop leader before turning her hand to writing stories and plays for children. Andy Rowland won the Macmillan prize for children's picture books before graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in illustration. He has worked as a freelance illustrator, muralist, community artist and tutor, and has to date illustrated twelve children's books.
