Theorising Heterosexuality by Richardson
Heterosexuality tends to be taken-for-granted, as something that is 'natural' and 'normal'. This book questions this assumption and demonstrates how much of our understanding of ourselves and the social worlds we inhabit is based upon unquestioned assumptions about the nature of heterosexuality.
"This book is extremely readable, engaging and thought-provoking, with none of the mystifying jargon or elitist language in which so much current theory is couchedIt is a welcome and useful addition to the field." - AWBR "...a very interesting and stimulating collection of essays, written in clear and accessible language." - The Lesbian Review of Books
