Peter Jarvis is Professor of Continuing Education at the University of Surrey. He is adjunct professor of adult education at the University of Adult Education at Georgia in USA and he has taught and lectured at universities throughout the world. He is a well known author and editor and amongst his latest books are: Towards a Comprehensive Theory of Human Learning (2006); Human Learning: a holistic perspective (edited with Stella Parker – 2005); Adult Education and Lifelong Learning: theory and practice (2004 0 3rd edition) The Theory and Practice of Learning (2003 with J Holford and Colin Griffin – second edition). All published by Routledge. He is also founding editor of the International Journal of Lifelong Education.
