Barnett, Kevin: - With an honours degree in a social policy discipline, Kevin worked in local government for over 30 years. For a substantial amount of that time he assisted in the development of local policies and services to people with mental health problems and those living in residential and nursing care. Now self-employed and semi-retired, Kevin's interest continues in these areas, however, through his work as an independent consultant and writing from personal experience and insight. Having suffered with clinical depression, and being a recovering alcoholic himself, Kevin is exploring these issues through an autobiographical trilogy, the first part of which is entitled Three Desperate Weeks. Originally from South Wales, Kevin is now enjoying life on the Cornish coast with his wife Jan and their dog Gracie.
