James Opie is a toy army consultant for Bonham's auctioneers and one of the world's foremost authorities on the subject. He has amassed a sizable personal collection, which he has been building since infancy. James Opie was the editor and buyer for the Military and Aviation Book Society and numerous other book clubs for over a quarter-century, until his recent retirement. He's published seven books on various elements of toy soldier collection in the past.
