After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in political science, Stephen Coonts embarked on a career as a pilot in the US Navy. Flying A-6 bombers in Vietnam and Laos, he earned a number of Navy commendations, including the distinguished Flying Cross. His bestselling novels include 'Flight of the Intruder', 'Final Flight', 'The Minotaur' and 'Under Siege'. A former attorney, Stephen Coonts lives in Boulder, Colorado.
